Tory Bush Cottages- No.9 - Eco-Loft

About

Tory Bush Cottages are situated outside Bryansford village overlooking the northern slopes of the Mourne Mountains. Tollymore Forest Park is only metres away - location for many Film and TV shoots e.g. “The Game of Thrones”, “Dracula Untold” and “The Fall”.
The ‘Eco-loft’ is our latest environmentally friendly building centrally heated by wood pellets, with solar hot water and insulated with sheep’s wool. It contains one bedroom, a bathroom, and an open plan living-room/kitchen. The living room leads on to a large balcony, which offers stunning views of the mountains and surrounding countryside.
The living room is heated by a wood-burning stove which is designed to be environmentally friendly, producing only as much CO2 as would have been absorbed by a tree during growth before being used as fire wood.
The bedroom contains a double bed, and opposite the bedroom is the bathroom containing a bath, separate shower, wash- basin and toilet.
It is extremely private and quiet with fantastic views of the mountains. The balcony allows guests to sit out and have breakfast overlooking the mountains or enjoy the view and warmth of the setting sun to the right of the balcony.
As with all the cottages the Eco-Loft is WiFi enabled, has Free sat TV; video and DVD. Walkers can reach the mountains from the Eco-Loft using our own path and quiet country road or take advantage of the local Shuttle bus drop off service that operates in the Mourne area. For cyclists, there are bicycles for hire on site with storage and wash facility for your own bike.
Tory Bush Cottages are an ideal base for exploring Northern Ireland, Belfast and the Titanic Centre is an hour away and the Giants Causeway two hours. There is lots to see and do in the local area from the new Castlewellan purpose built bike and walking trails, Murlough Beach and nature reserve, and the nearby seaside town of Newcastle with its award winning promenade, cafes, restaurants and welcoming gastro pubs.

In 2015 Tory Bush Cottages were awarded a Gold Award in the Green Tourism Business Scheme.
