Whitespots Country Park

Walking Route
Whitespots was established as a Country Park in 1995 and is still being developed. In the years 1849 - 1864 the area was extensively mined for lead, and continued to be so until 1910. Reminders of this era can still be seen today.

The lead content of the old spoil heaps means that children should be discouraged from playing on them and picnic lunches are best taken in the area provided.
