Glenariff Forest Park

The unique Waterfall Walkway, opened 80 years ago, has been significantly upgraded along its 3 mile length which passes through a National Nature Reserve.

Three waterfalls provide a rich backdrop for photographers, as do the other forest trails that offer panoramic landscapes and peaceful riverside walks. A visitor centre, exhibition, interactive display, shop, caravan/camping site (open Easter - October) Laragh Lodge Restaurant (open all year round) complement this "gateway to the Glens". Disabled access.

Walks within the Forest Park include:

**A new caravan and camping site is being built in the main Forest Park and construction work is planned to continue until August 2015. During this time, public visitors arriving by vehicle or on foot may encounter restrictions on access along the main avenue into the Forest Park and car park.

The Waterfall Trail remains open for visitors on foot at the bottom end of the Glen; however, public access from the main forest car park will be restricted at times because of construction work.

While the construction works are programmed to take account of peak visitor dates, the main Forest Park entrance and car park is closed at present until further notice.
