Walking Festivals

Walking festivals provide a unique way to get out into the hills with other like-minded walkers and sample some of the incredible scenery Northern Ireland has on offer.

Many of these festivals offer guided walks on all types of terrain, varied in distance and will suit all levels of abilities. From family days out to more challenging mountain rambles for hill walking enthusiasts, everyone is sure to receive a warm welcome and to top it all off there is always a great social scene with evenings packed full of entertainment.

Places To Visit

Fermanagh Walking Festival, Legnabrocky, Enniskillen

The Fermanagh Walking Festival will take place over weekend of 10th and 11th October with walks taking place in the Cuilcagh Mountain area.

Wee Binnian Walking Festival,

This Festival offers an action packed programme of guided mountain and lowland walks.

Castlerock Walkfest, Castlerock, Coleraine

Walking festival organised in conjunction with the National Trust. Offering a wide range of walks to suit everyone.

Sperrins & Killeter Walking Festival,

Head for the Hills and discover the epic beauty of the Sperrins

Sperrintrek Hillwalking Festival, Cookstown

Mid Ulster District Council has teamed up again with the Mid Ulster Walking Club to bring you a fantastic ‘Autumn’ hill walking festival on Saturday 26th September and Sunday 27th September 2015. With over 120 walkers joining us last year this is sure to be the best start to your hill walking calendar!
