Earth Day at the Giant's Causeway

44 Causeway Road, Bushmills, County Antrim, BT57 8SU
Rainbow over the Grand Causeway

About

On Monday 22nd April, the Giant's Causeway is celebrating Earth Day; a day in which individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life unite in a global effort to advance sustainability and climate action.

With this year's theme of Planet vs Plastics, join Programming & Partnerships Officer, Keith, to explore what Northern Ireland's only UNESCO World Heritage Site is doing, as they strive to minimise our usage of single-use plastics to lowest level!

Also, have a look behind the scenes at the workings of the Giant's Causeway's underground heating system, and discover how important it is to control plastic use to protect the health and safety of ourselves and our local wildlife.

The tour will commence at 11:00am. Meet your tour guide Keith at the Visitor Meeting Point within the Visitor Centre.

National Trust Members and Local Pass Holders gain free access. Online booking is strongly recommended via the official website. This is a free event; normal admission charges apply.

Ticket price includes the full Visitor Experience; access to guided tours with our award-winning storytelling team, use of hand-held audio guides, access to exhibition and interpretation areas, shop, café, use of all facilities, including the loan of accessibility equipment, and reserved onsite parking.

Please wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear suitable for the event and for the weather on the day.

The Visitor Centre is fully accessible with ramps, and accessible facilities are available within.

The Giant's Causeway Visitor Experience is fully dog friendly, with dogs on leads welcome throughout all indoor and outdoor areas.
